Welcome to Cliffside Farm. We are a small family facility in Texas dedicated to breeding and training quality Welsh ponies and cobs for type, temperament, and most importantly, performance! We specialize in performance ponies and cobs for jumping, dressage, driving, foxhunting, and pleasure. Because we believe that breeding animals must prove their mettle in performance as well as in the halter ring, we train all our ponies to ride and/or drive and to exhibit child-worthy dispositions. Our imported Section D Welsh stallion *Lidgett Meredith (LOM) is not just another pretty face. He has earned multiple national championships in both halter and performance classes and is a 2006 USEF Horse of the Year National Champion in Welsh Pleasure Sec. C/D. He continues to compete in dressage, hunters, and English and Western pleasure. He also hunts in the field with the Brazos Valley Hunt. Our mares pursue similar foxhunting and show careers before being bred; details of their records can be found on our mare page.
